Families Growing Together

We found ourselves moving from the USA to Belgium in the middle of Covid with two young kiddos, one of whom having a syndrome that manifests in speech-languages delays, behavioural challenges, and intellectual disability. And thus presented the quandary of finding a school. Through a fortuitous chain of events, we learned about a new, small school in Woluwe Saint Lambert, founded and directed by an occupational therapist, staffed by marvelous teachers, seamlessly integrating the services of a speech therapist, all tailored to kids 12 and younger, operated in English. It was a perfect landing spot for our ten year old. Bhu and her team had created a unique school that not only checked the boxes on paper but were in fact a marvellously warm and creative learning institution.

As a parent, I am very pleased with the quality of education and care my child receives at this school. The teachers are dedicated, supportive, and genuinely care about each student's growth. I highly recommend this school to any parent seeking a safe, nurturing, and excellent learning environment for their child.

We are so grateful that we found this school for our son. He got diagnosed with autism and really was struggling at his old school. At FIS there is a clear pedagogical individualised learning plan, everything seems adapted to his needs, and the teachers are great. Here they don’t see problems, they see the whole person and work with that in mind.
