Two ladders. One whole-child programme.
Our curriculum is built on two complementary pathways: the Developmental Ladder and the Academic Ladder.
- Developmental ladder — motor skills, self-care, behaviour, social interaction and communication.
- Academic ladder — the British curriculum framework, tailored after assessing each child’s current levels in Literacy and Maths.
Together, these ladders form our 3-Part Program: Learning, Intervention, Development (LID).
Learning
Hands-on and multisensory methods are used across literacy, maths, science, humanities, art, cooking, music and gardening. Themes of Learning connects classroom learning with real-time seasonal experiences. Two school trips are planned each year.
Intervention
Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Psychological intervention are offered based on assessed needs. Type and frequency are determined through assessments, therapist recommendations and parent confirmation.
Development
We prioritise age-appropriate independence in self-care, behaviour, play and social participation through daily routines, yoga, reading hub time and peer-sharing activities.
A coordinated plan around every child.
Every child’s progress is guided through an Individualised Learning Plan (ILP) integrating Learning, Intervention and Development. Each ILP includes clearly defined goals based on baseline functioning, with three review meetings held annually with parents.
Parents are essential partners. The therapeutic strategies and techniques used in school form each child’s personalised Tool Kit, shared with parents for consistency at home and in other environments.
